How we check codes

We don't just copy codes from a feed and hope they work. Here's the actual process.

We test codes in a real basket

Before a code goes live, we add real items to a merchant's basket and enter the code at checkout, the same way you would. A code only gets listed if it actually reduces the price.

Every code shows when it was last checked

Each coupon card shows a verified date, so you can see at a glance how recently we confirmed it — not just when it was first added.

Shoppers help us catch codes that break

Merchants can end a promotion at any time without telling us. That's why every code has a "did this work?" prompt after you reveal it. Votes from shoppers are one of the signals we use to catch a code that has stopped working between our own checks.

We pull codes that fail

Once a code is confirmed dead — whether from our own recheck or from enough shopper reports — we take it down rather than leaving it live to disappoint the next person who tries it.
